Esen, a young man who has been expelled from his village, escapes with the daughter of one of the most powerful men in the village. Whilst being pursued, he is forced to fight for her hand in a battle that results in the destruction of a sacred totem tree. This puts the whole village in jeopardy, and it is up to Esen to redeem himself and save them all.

本片根据鲍瓦西里耶夫于小说《这里的黎明静悄悄》改编。影片获1973年威尼斯国际电影节纪念奖、全苏电影节大奖，1975年又获列宁奖金。1942年之夏，瓦斯柯夫准尉带领两个班的女机枪手驻扎在一个靠近小车站的村子里。一天，班长丽达在不远的树林里发现了空降的德军。瓦斯柯夫带领一支小分队去搜查敌军，成员包括丽萨、迦尔卡、丽达、索妮娅、冉妮娅等五个姑娘。队员们英勇牺牲了，受重伤的丽达不愿连累准尉把儿子托付给他后饮弹自尽。悲愤的瓦斯柯夫一举歼灭敌军营，光荣完成了任务获得援救。多年后，瓦斯柯夫带着丽达那个现在是军官的儿子来到当年他母亲牺牲的小树林，对所有的女兵们表示了深深的敬意。

受够了他所生活的这个忙乱而无意义的世界，特迪决定在冬天独自在西伯利亚贝加尔湖岸边的一间小屋里安顿下来。泰迪在未受破坏的大自然的壮丽和神奇面前度过了一段兴高采烈的时期，很快发现自己面临着事物不那么光鲜的一面：孤独、极度寒冷、寻找食物的必要性、危险。一天晚上，特迪在暴风雪中迷了路，如果不是阿列克谢，一个躲在附近森林里的俄罗斯囚犯，在极端情况下救了他，他注定会死。这两个人的友谊很快就开花结果了。

Seven men, all city-dwellers aged between 17 and 70, with nothing in common apart from the fact that they are all on the verge of a nervous breakdown, meet up at a lonely sta- tion for an unusual course in the wild that is supposed to get them back on their feet. Each step in this boot camp, designed by an eccentric and feisty female coach, aims to reveal them to themselves. The task seems to be a tough one, especially as nothing goes as planned between these men.

Simona is a single mother in her early ‘40s who is wholly devoted to her son, Filippo.
