Pink Floyd在庞贝古城的Live DVD ISO 1971年10月，当时还正年轻的平克们在庞贝古城已经有两千多年历史的古罗马圆形剧场上，进行了一次没有现场观众的演出。这次演出被制成电影于1972年的9月在爱丁堡音乐节上做了首映， 1974年开始在欧美各地全面上映，反响不俗，随后发行的录像带也成了市面上的长销品种。　　今年的十月份，经过长久的等待之后，环球公司终于发行了这张名为Pink Floyd - Live at Pompeii (Director's Cut)的DVD，导演Adrian Maben将原先上映的一个小时的剧场版重新剪辑加料成了现在的这个一个半小时的导演剪辑版。原先全屏的剧场版被转换成了可变宽银幕的导演剪辑版，画质和音质也经过了全面的修复（遗憾的是仅有一条杜比2声道音轨多少显得美中不足），并同时收入了原来的剧场版以及导演访谈等众多花絮，堪称是对全世界平克迷的一份大礼。值得一提的是，这部DVD的设计也是由平克的御用封套设计者Storm Thorgerson精心打造的（他为平克设计的唱片封套几乎个个都称得上是艺术品）。　　当时的平克已经摆脱了SYD BARRET离去后的阵痛，接连几张成功的专辑，，使他们的事业蒸蒸日上，也为后来那张旷世绝伦的做了完美的铺垫。这个现场里面的歌曲也基本都来自上述几张专辑以及即将发行的那张，并收入了一首从未发行过的歌曲“Mademoiselle Nobs”，导演剪辑版中更是增加了第二年他们在伦敦埃比路（ABBEY ROAD）录音室录制DARK SIDE OF THE MOON专辑时的珍贵镜头　　导演剪辑版的具体曲目如下：　　1.ECHOES PART I 　　2.CAREFUL WITH THAT AXE EUGENE 　　3.A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS 　　4.Us and Them 　　5.ONE OF THESE DAYS 　　6.MADEMOISELLE NOBS 　　7.Brain Damage 　　8.SET THE CONTROLS FOR THE HEART OF THE SUN 　　9.ECHOES PART II
